Ad Language Physician Recruiter Position

Esse Health is the largest independent physician practice in the St. Louis Metropolitan area with over 100 physicians, in 45 locations, serving nearly 130,000 patients. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Physician Recruiter Specialist!

The Esse Health Physician Recruiter Specialist is a key member of the Human Resources team and interacts with senior managers and executives of the organization. This role is responsible for specific aspects of the Physician Recruitment process including marketing, sourcing and follow-up to attract candidates, appropriate evaluation and screening of candidates for potential organizational fit, compiling and presenting candidate details to the Growth Committee and practice leaders, arranging and conducting candidate site visits, and gathering associated feedback. Other responsibilities include candidate tracking and reports, arranging and attending career and networking events, and maintaining compliance with all recruitment guidelines and regulations.

This position is ideal for an individual who is currently in a Physician Recruitment Coordinator or Specialist role, or working in a recruitment firm setting, and is looking to take the next step in their career.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business or equivalent, is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in physician recruitment or physician recruitment support.
  • Previous use of social media to attract candidates and experience with ATS systems to track candidates.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and a history of achieving results.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal direct supervision, yet work effectively as a member of the Human Resources team.
  • Ability to analyze data to ascertain the benefits/risks of candidates to be a potential organizational fit.
  • Ability to educate candidates on the benefits of being an owner in a large multi-specialty, independent healthcare organization.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of physicians, staff members, and senior management to develop positive relationships.
  • Excellent professional presence and customer service skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills.

Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and use of the internet.
